Vodafone, Idea, Jio, Airtel. These 3 companies have done their price hike this year. But will this price hike continue in the future? Well, yes. This price hike will continue in the future, but don't think that it will happen in 2025. They will give a break for 1-1.5 years, but in 2026-27, they will bring another price hike. But this is not a new thing. Every 2-3 years, Jio brings a revision in a new price, which is a little more than before. And every time there is a revision, there is a backlash from the people. But the backlash they got in 2024 was very dangerous for these companies. Because at one time, Jio was gaining subscribers every month, Airtel was gaining subscribers. All these subscribers started losing continuously. And the surprising thing is that BSNL's subscriber base started gaining. That too only because the cheapest and most affordable recharges in the market are from BSNL. But if we talk after BSNL, can there be a return of affordable plans in the market? Well, we got a hint from TRAI, which says that telecom companies will have to bring back voice calling and SMS plans in the same way as before. That is to say, if you are calling and you don't want to use data for SMS, then get cheaper plans in the market and longer validity plans in the market. Which comes with a validity of 365 days. By the end of January or February, you can see some such plans from these telecom companies. What I mean to say is that a lot of people here don't use data from their mobile phones. They want basic calling and SMS functionality. Like our elders, they don't need data, they just want to call. Students, they just want to talk to their family, they want to use data, distraction internet for them. There are a lot of such people in rural India. And even today, there are many people in the city who use dual SIM. They recharge the data in one SIM. The other SIM has been activated because everyone has that number. There is only SMS, OTP, and if you want to call, there is less for that. Only for this, a big recharge is done in the data, but there is another SIM for calling and SMS. And to cater to these users, there is a lot of requirement for a cheap recharge plan. Because if you do two big recharges together in a mobile phone and use double SIM, then you are going to use only one at a time. And everyone is feeling a lot of wastage. And this money should not be wasted for people. That's why telecom companies have been told that first of all, take out such plans. Because of which people have a little ease of use. Because your plans, where in 2016 it seemed that you can take it for free, in 2017 the cheap rates were fun for people. But now what happened? After 7 years, when I come in 2024, when we are starting in 2025, then you don't feel that cheapness in those recharges. You feel that things have become too expensive. Because for every company, increasing its ARPU is a very big thing. Every company wants to increase its average revenue per user. And they know that many times we can't just do a lot of things by increasing the plans of recharges. For this, companies are doing different strategies. The first strategy is that if you recharge more expensive, we will give you free 5G. Because companies have made a very big investment in 5G. Whether they have invested in its spectrum, or if I see in 2022, 23 and 24, they have worked to expand 5G. Jio's 5G rollout is almost over. Airtel's non-standalone are now going to jump on the stand-alone network. Vodafone Idea has now started rolling out its 5G slowly. And in 2025, we know that BSNL is also going to bring 5G. So definitely 5G has been invested a lot inside. A lot of money has been invested in getting a license here. Plus it has been deployed and infrastructure has been developed. And all this money will be taken from a common consumer. So these companies want to do it. That's why the 5G plans that I am going to use 5G, people will sell them at a higher price. With this, the next thing they are doing is that they know that people will not always pay more for voice, call, data. Give people other services. And how will we give other services? You must have seen that many telecom companies have started issuing their OTT bundles. Here you take a SIM card. But in return, subscribe to Netflix, subscribe to Prime Video. Jio distributes its own subscription to Jio Cinema. Airtel also distributes different types of subscriptions. Vodafone Idea is also doing different things. Because they know that if they want to get money out of people after a point, then they will have to give value-added services. That is, give them a service that is usually expensive. But when you include it in their plan, people will not feel it. That is, many people subscribe to OTT apps in India. But if that thing is included in the recharge of the mobile phone, then people will not have to take their subscription separately. Because of which people are being attracted to them by charging more and more. But it's impact is coming on companies that want to increase their average revenue here. That is, every user wants to take out as much money as possible. So that these companies make as much money as possible and are in the stage of being profitable. And these companies also understood that if the recharge plan is increased suddenly, and people do not get the value, then people suddenly stop their sim. Jio was explaining this very difficultly this year. But these mistakes should not be repeated. For that, he will do other things. Along with this, people keep asking about 5G-related plans that 5G-related plans will come out expectedly. Look, Unlimited 5G is running right now. And there are some plans of Jio in which if you give more money, then you will be able to use Free 5G and Unlimited 5G. But even in this, there will be a stop somewhere in 2025. Here, there will be some such plans, some such things, in which people who live in 5G, maybe they will give extra additional recharges. Or their recharges will be made a little expensive. And to monetize 5G, telecom companies are focusing on air fiber. But I have seen that air fiber is not as reliable and stable. A wired connection is more stable and more reliable. And upload and download are consistent in wired connection. But in air fiber, upload and download are very inconsistent. This is also one thing. But if this problem is solved in air fiber, then the companies here will have an opportunity to use air fiber to monetize. Anyway, that becomes a different direction. But whenever we come in the race of wireless subscribers, then things start to change here. Along with this, then yes, no new companies are going to make their place in India's telecom space. Because no other company has space to jump here. But the existing companies may do more of their own here in the coming time. For example, if you look at Airtel, then Airtel will focus more on its Airtel Black subscription. It will say that you are a subscriber of Airtel, recharge more, we will give you better service. We will give Airtel Black, we will charge all your services together. We will find a simplified solution for people. And Airtel will take more money from people. Vodafone Idea will also play something like this. And is trying to make a big comeback with 5G. But it is worth seeing what happens with Vodafone Idea. But there is only one good company from which no news of price hike has been seen. That is BSNL. But how long does BSNL stay in this state is the point. Because BSNL still runs 3G in the majority. After that, the deployment of 4G. And it was said that people will finish 4G by March next year. After that, when it will be the turn of 5G after 4G, then the thing to see is that when BSNL introduces its 5G plan, does it keep things so cheap or does it bring an increment in it? But I can tell you one thing. The problem of price hike is never going to end. Even if things go wrong for a year and a half, but eventually you will get to see somewhere. It is not possible that the rate at which you were running 10 years ago is still the same. See, economic factors work in a very different way. And companies also have to run a company. They also have to show profit to their shareholders here. These things will only happen when more money comes from people. It is possible that people will increase recharge plans. Or introduce something in recharge plans to get as much money out of people as possible. This will also be a requirement. And yes, these companies will also try out in their different businesses. A separate entity is running in the internet, in the wired broadband. Whatever is seen, it is quite good there. Along with this, there is an air fiber thing running in wireless. Along with this, companies are focusing on postpaid connections. Because more money comes out of there. It is worth seeing how India's telecom space changes in the next 1-2 years. And when the recharge plans will be more. So now the people who have taken multiple sim cards. Will they come back? And will the double sim people come to the single sim or will they come back to the double sim? This is also something to see. By the way, what is the whole story ahead? You will get information about it in the coming videos. For that, you can subscribe to the channel. Thank you for staying with us. And which company's sim card do you use?
